Andrew was raised in Virginia, returned via military service, and chose to settle in Richmond after leaving active duty. Outside the office, Andrew enjoys teaching his five year-old daughter to swim, hiking with his family, and racing in triathlons. Andrew and his wife, Amanda, have been married ten years. They spend their free time traveling, working on house projects, and exploring Virginia wineries.

 

Andrew began his career rebuilding America's infrastructure as a highway engineer before continuing his family’s legacy of military service, commissioning as an officer in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps. He has served over 12 years in both the active and Reserve component, starting as an Army Engineer Dive officer, where he led several teams on operational and deployed missions, both stateside and abroad. He also earned his professional engineering (PE) license and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification while on active duty before transitioning to global contingency operations in the Reserve. Prior to Third Port, he ran healthcare operations for DaVita and performed strategic planning and marketing for a software company.
